This is a grassroots' effort to raise awareness! The K.I.D.S 5K Fun Run community event benefiting the Patsy R. Skinner Cancer Foundation is designed to raise funds for services that are essential for a K.I.D.S development and progress after losing one or both parents due to cancer. The K.I.D.S 5K Fun Run will raise awareness of the impact losing parents or guardians to cancer can have on the children who are left behind.

With so much anxiety regarding another school year approaching, our Backpack Kick Start effort helps ease some of the pressure of hunting for school supplies and backpacks. So every year we provide K.I.D.S with backpacks stuffed with everything a student could use to start their school year off the right way.

This annual event held towards the end of the year is a fund raiser called the "Pink Christmas Affair"...benefiting K.I.D.S We strive to raise awareness and hopefully gain support for the foundation while creating momentum so that more people join the fight. The holiday season is about giving, so what better cause to support than helping K.I.D.S who have been affected by such a horrific disease.

The Patsy R. Skinner Cancer Foundation (P.R.S.C.F.) is organizing the Best Southwest Showdown on Saturday, August 31st, 2024. This event will showcase antique (older than 45 years old) and classic (at least 20 years old) cars, trucks, and S.U.V.s dating pre-1999. The Best Southwest Showdown Committee and P.R.S.C.F. are collaborating to host this event, and there will be six (6) overall judging classifications: Best in Show, Best Car, Best Truck, Best S.U.V., Participant’s Choice, and Mayor’s/Council’s Choice.

At P.R.S.C.F., our focus is on supporting K.I.D.S. (Keeping Individual Dreams Supported) from disadvantaged environments who are affected by cancer. We aim to provide them with the necessary support to continue their education, pursue their dreams, and lead productive lives despite the significant impact of cancer.
